ABOUT ME
I was raised in Springfield MA and then went on to UC Berkeley and MIT where I studied both philosophy and physics. Afterwards, I spent 31 years at Xerox as an engineer responsible for image and color controls of high end digital printers. During this time I received many patents, some of them relevant to the arts, involving painting or printing on edge lit plexiglass. Since retiring a few years ago, I have been very focused on oil painting. The results so far are contained in this web site. My 97 year old mother, a retired art teacher and oil painter has been an inspiration. She emphasizes the importance of a line, the power art can have to say something, and the ability to look at the world through a different lens. Here is a link to some of my mother's paintings.
