ABOUT ME
I was raised in Longmeadow MA. After junior college I went to UC Berkeley and took degrees in both philosophy and physics. I then did the same thing at the graduate level at MIT-- graduate degrees in philosophy and physics (I was also working on a doctorate with Thomas S. Kuhn as my advisor). The next 31 years were spent in Rochester NY raising a family and as an engineer at Xerox responsible for, among other things, color and image controls of digital printers. I received 25 patents at Xerox, a few of which relate to printing (or painting) on glass or plexiglass and then edge lighting (some samples can be seen under the heading Art With Light). Since retiring in 2021 I have been very focused on oil painting. My mother, a retired art teacher and oil painter has been my inspiration-- here is a link to some of my mother's paintings. My art continues to be an exploration of styles and techniques. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, comments or are interested in my art.
